Air vent for one pipe steam

Geoff Sparrow

I have a one pipe steam system with six radiatiors with a total of 300 sq-ft of radiation area. All the air vents spit steam. What would be the recommended make and model of a good air vent?

It is not the vents that are the problem
It is the quality of your steam. Any vent, even the best, will spit if abused.
Check your near-boiler piping versus the manufacturers specifications. Check to be sure your piping pitches properly and is insulated. Many things contribute to wet steam. Your vents are just the messengers. May be damaged, maybe not, but they are telling you something.
Listen to them. You may get a "Wet Willy" in the ear, but that is OK.."If you do not know the answer, say, "I do not know the answer", and you will be correct!"
