In Michigan it applies to 0 thru 12.5 million btu boilers. In my opinion it is a good code. We shut down a lot of boilers that were very unsafe in the first year of the code adaption.

It nice to see Illinois is improving thier safety requirements. I have also seen much better enforcement in the state in the last few years.

I always though the manual reset hi limit was strickly on commerical buildings or on system that was controlled by electronic (digital) controls like a tekmar or such ,I am in total agreement on the steam with double lwco electronic and mech and a manual pressurtrol ,but would these be required on larger residental jobs also peace and good luck clammy0
