    I was recommended to this book by my plumber. I'm a handy guy and he said this is a paperback book that went for about $10 and explains the basics of boilers. I searched and one copy came up at Amazon and it was $243!!!
    Is there a similar reference book out there for the typical residential homeowner?

    you saw it for $243 on Amazon.com is that the book is so good, no one wants to part with it. :)
