stat controling the circ

Hi Wallies, When I first installed my new Burnham V-83 back in '03 I was concerned with the operation of the circ when calling for heat. The circ would come on for a few minutes and then shut off and then come on again a few minutes later. This "herky jerky" method seemed very wastefull to me as the circ would dump the cold water into the boiler and then the boiler would fire. This went on for awhile and the baseboards weren't putting out any heat. I solved this problem by putting in a strap on my L8124c from L1 to ZC.This enabled the circ to be controlled by "make" contact 1K2 when relay is activated by a call for heat. I was recently checking a Honeywell website and was very surprised to see that they already thought of it when they came out with the L8124M. Check it out! Does anyone else use this method? I get the benefit of using the heat from the boiler right away and still maintain boiler temp through the L8124. Live/Learn
