Geothermal expert needed in Baltimore (Steamhead)

My dad had a geothermal unit installed years ago, and he's had a lot of trouble with it. As a matter of fact, it is down at the moment. It seems that the guy who installed it didn't really know what he was doing. Now they say they have to replace it because there's a leak in the copper coils underground. Since it is still under warranty, they will provide the unit, but my dad will have to pay for the installation again. Is this common procedure?
Thanks
Thanks

One of my Vapor customers
is planning to build a mixed-use building and use Geothermal. He's finding a lack of expertise in this area so I thought I'd put the call out here.... anyone interested? Building is in the planning stages at the moment.

Building size
is roughly 100,000 square feet, and they want to both heat and cool with geo. They do have a mechanical engineer on the team but no one involved has worked with geo yet, hence the request for an expert.

I worked on a job 2 years ago that the owner wanted to heat and cool a 7000 sf contemporary house that had approximately 80% glass on the main floor. The geothermal field was been dry (no groundwater) and the amount of wells (for the cooling load) would have been too many to have achieved any amount of payback.
One place to start would be to look at the loads and the size of the field required to see if its feasible.0 -
Waterfurnace makes a nice geo heat pump.

Go to WaterFurnace.com. There is a dealer locator based on zip code.0 -

I have a friend in Westminster that works in Baltimore that has been doing Geothermal for a long time. He is top knotch. His company is Utz Heating and A/C. He is a Water Furnace dealer. We worked together on a job where he provided the geothermal and I hooked it up to a radiant floor. I could hook you up. WW
