Any experience with this Azel supply/return temp gauge?

as well, since I don't have the wells to insert into in my setup. And I should (?) put some black electrical tape or paint pipe black at point of measurement from copper pipes?
This setup actually comes out a bit cheaper than buying two different thermometers and has other advantages as well.
Thanks,
David

single digital gauge, two probes

Probe can be strapped on pipe or inserted into wells. I would wonder about the accuracy of the read. Using it to measure Delta T.
Thanks,

i use
model DS 60 P. perfect application for delta T. very accurate (based on 10K thermister)0 -
I own three
and find them perfect for Delta-T as Glen said. Indoor-outdoor, boiler in and out, system in and out. As Glen noted, 10K Ohm thermistors are quite accurate. Same sensors as come from Tekmar that I can tell."If you do not know the answer, say, "I do not know the answer", and you will be correct!"

attach
to bare pipe for best surface contact. (not sure how thickly you paint) and then wrap with a bit of fiberglass pipe insulation to completely isolate sensor. And the tekmar 071 sensor can be used if the original sensor goes funky on you.0 -
Glen is correct
Forget the "paint thing"- that applies to radiant heat measurement, not contact (conduction). Take a fine mill file and remove the surface finish to bare metal. If you have heat conductive paste (a mix of petroleum jelly and aluminum powder, near as I can tell), a schmeer of that will make for good contact.
The sensors have a concave side designed to snug against pipe wall radii, you will see.
Personally, I wrapped mine in Armaflex insulation tape, secure it with a stainless steel band clamp, then over-insulate with full Armaflex and maybe some thin plastic ties."If you do not know the answer, say, "I do not know the answer", and you will be correct!"
