Buderus AM10

I've been fiddling with my AM10 to get to optimal temperature control. I retrofit my house with new pour in floor for basement, suspended Ultra Fin in joists and left a few baseboards in the bedrooms to kick out extra heat.

Unfortunately my heating contractor has never lived up to expectations. After multiple GB142 installs, last week was the first time he ever installed the AM10 and had no idea how it really works. So I have been on with Ernie at Buderus trying to figure it out.

It has been trial and error working toward optimal design temp setting at 14 degrees. Today it happens to be 14 degrees and I have been fiddling with the setting. First starting at 140 degrees. I have moved it up to 145 to see if that works a bit better. I have my Boiler manual dial set at 165 degrees.

On a side note, I had my basement sprayed with Isynene this summer. Since installing a thermostat, it has been 11 days without the floor heating kicking on!! Basement stays pretty close to 70 degree even when it got down to -4. I believe I have some leakage of heat from my joists coming through my cans....Should I at least set the tempering valve to 75 degrees or so just to keep the flow?
