Low Mass vs Standard Boiler

I'm going to replace my current boiler(1992) and would like to understand the the difference or criteria for selecting a low-mass boiler over a standard boiler. My future plans are to have radiant installed under the kitchen floor and family room on their own zones and wanted to make sure I'm headed in the right direction. I've not contracted this yet but didn't want to have that "deer in the headlights" look when discussing options.
