in THE MAIN WALL
I found an old circular calculator copyrighted by S.B. Tapalow, Brooklyn, NY in our office.
It seems to be a calculator for figuring numerous heating related capacities as well as a handy reference for sizing calculations.
Can anyone tell me 1)What it is & 2) How it works ?

    S.B.Tapalow Heat-O-Meter

    S. B. Tapalow was my father.  The Heat-O-Meter was a circular slide rule for calculating required radiation for a room or building.  It had lots of data for both steam or hot water systems.   He marketed it from our home during the 1940's for $5.00.   I still have the printing plates and if I look hard through the boxes of my mother's things know I've seen a few of the items. Now all this can be done quite simply on the web, but it was quite a time saver back then.     If you want more information, e-mail me:  ataplow@gmail.com.
