GYPCRETE
WHAT IS THE BEST PRODUCT TO USE IN A BATHROOM TO MIX AND POUR BY HAND TO COVER THE TUBING. THE SUB FLOOR IS TONGUE AND GROOVE 3/4 PLYWOOD. IN THE PAST I HAVE ALWAYS SUBBED OUT THE GYPCRETE POUR BUT IT IS NOT ECONOMICAL WITH SUCH A SMALL AREA. CAN YOU USE CONCRETE?

do you know what exactly dry pak consists of? i am doing this job for an engineer. he needs to know everything.0 -
SLC
you could pour self leveling compound up to tubes and dry pack from there. unless the tubing is REAL secure to the floor it will move during dry packing, tile guy wouldn't be happy.0 -
Depending on the tile guy drypack is approximately 30 shovel-fulls of mason's sand to 100 pounds of portland. The two are mixed well and water is slowly added until a fistful squeezed will stick together. It will look like gray sand and take overnight to set up.0 -
