Econimite DS20 fenwall board, anyone have

Anyone have to old Ecomite fenwall boards that were an open circuit board with little light bulb on board that lit when ignition was starting? No longer made and we have used our last one last season. Any one? Tim
  • That's a \"direct spark\" setup, right?

According to the R.E. Michel catalog, the Honeywell S87 series (24-volt, needs external spark transformer) and S89F series (uses both 120-volt and 24-volt power) can be used with any DS gas valve.

But I'd check with Tim McElwain- if anyone has dealt with this, he has. E-mail him at gastc@cox.net and tell him I sent you.

    Re Steamhead reply

Steamhead, yes it is a direct spark but you can't use the Honeywell on this burner as it is set up for Fenwall w/ separate pre purge board. Tim
  • You can get

those Honeywells with pre-purge built in. Everything in one unit, as is standard on current setups. But Tim would know for sure what to use.......

with Fenwal 05-13 DSI board is no longer made, I checked a couple of places and they do not have the boards in stock.

    A couple of alternatives:

Get me the full Fenwal 05-13 numbers and I will cross reference it for you.Fenwal books state either 05-14 or 05-38 but exact numbers will make it easier to cross.

Here in New England the rep for Economite burners i:

    Economite #S

Tim, sorry it has taken so long for me to get back to you. The customer had us install new furnace rather than search for new board at this time. The last time I tried new different Crossed over board there was a problem w/ the design of new board, had a circuit breaker on it that was a hassle to use w/ old burner box design. Will see if I want to mess with on the next one. Thanks again, Tim

    DS20 - Fenwal 05-13

We have an older Yukon Husky Wood/Propane Furnace
    Model LWO 112. Input Rating BTU/hr 140,000.
The propane burner will not ignite.
The repairman said we need a new Fenwal 05-13.
I did send an email to the company who might have old stock on this discontinued item.
When we called another company for a replacement part he said we need to provide more numbers ....
There are some numbers but they are too blurry to read.
Do you think we could email a photo of the board to determine the correct replacement?
We're in rural northeast Kansas, we want to repair our furnace.
It's really cold here, can you help or give advice.
Our repairman does not have the time to search for this item.
    Thanks, Sherry

  • Sherry e-mail me what info you have

and I will see what I can do. You will probably need a replacement control as the Fenwal 05-13 is obsolete and no longer available.
