#2000 watts flow valve

Hi
I have a 2 zone system hot water, baseboard heat. Keep the thermostats set at 65. This a.m. it was 68 in the upstairs. I replaced the zone valve less than a year ago. #2000 watts flow valve is what I have. 1 for upper and 1 for lower. I do notice when downstairs calls for heat that the upstairs pipes get warm. Don't know if it's just radiating heat. The upper circulator is not running unless it calls for heat. I do have a Becket heat manager on the system. On top of the zone valve there is a screw in thumbscrew. Does anyone know how far in or out it should be? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The thumbscrew adjustment should be down all the way. If it already is, there may be dirt on the valve seat allowing gravity flow, which would require a service call from a heating professional. If I can be of any further assistance, please feel free to contact me directly at erhardja@watts.com
