I checked out a cast iron gas burnham steam boiler that was installed on 11/20/00. In between each section near the top where the pins are most of the sections are leaking. It has a LWCO and electric feeder. Has there been leak problems with Burnhams

model. What is the piping like? buried retuns? what is the make up water like? Ph tested? Any contaminants in the basement air...bleach,salt, etc?0 -
I had one today too
I was hoping for some input on the same problem. Model KIN11LNI-LL2 Sections leaking on each end. Apparently this is the second boiler in about 6 years.
Could you elaborate on the burried returns?
Thx all

buried returns....
if you have returns that are below ground you run the risk of having a leak in the pipe(s) that you can't see. If you are leaking water it has to be replaced...thereby adding fresh water and adding oxygen to the system....this will shorten the life of any boiler.....kpc0
