Thanks for the info. I was misinformed that it was supposed to be positive pressure. That explains a lot.
Thanks again.

    Energy Kinetics System 2000

I don't know much about the Energy Kinetics System 2000 boilers. We seem to be having a problem where the burner tube is burning off on a regular basis. We put a new one on last year and now that one is burned off. These are positive pressure combustion systems (I think). What can we do to stop this from happening.

If your current service people aren't up to speed on this unit they'll probably not be any help. I'd call EK, tell them about the problem, and see if they can recommend a service company.

If you're in Northern VT, call Ken. He loves them.:)

Are you putting the insulating amulet on the end of the blast tube? or just putting the bare tube into the boiler.

And the system 2000 is NOT a positive pressure boiler.

if you have positive pressure there is a problem.

There was an error rendering this rich post.

Positive pressure will lock out the burner on the EK, I believe, via the cad cell relay. If the burner is NOT locking out I'd imagine that the pressure switch has been wired out of the system thus burning off the tube time after time after time. Just a guess though.
