    Joy of the season interupted!

Last night my wife and I were at a play, during the intermission we went to say hi to some close friends when they suddenly got a call that their son (who is in the Navy) had a serious accident. They of course left very quickly.

James who has been in the Navy about five years was told this past fall that he would be put in as a ground troop in Iraq this coming January. Yesterday while stationed in Maryland they were doing some sort of training when the Humvee they were riding in had an accident. The latest we heard from his grandfather at church this am is that he is brain dead. James Ehrlich is the type of kid we all would want as a son, he is patriotic and very intelligent.

James has a wife and two year old child. He was very apprehensive about going to Iraq. Ironically he is fighting for his life before even being sent there.

Prayers to his family and loved ones.

  • Give his parents my condolences...
