Does anyone no where I can find the charts that will provide the BTU input by clocking it?

Natural Gas...
is approximately 100,000 BTU per CCF (hundred cubic feet) or 1000 BTU/cubic foot. It can vary slightly, but 1,000 BTU/cu. ft. is close enough for clocking appliances.
If propane/LP (and you have a meter in the line to clock) it's 2,500 BTU/cu ft of gas.0 -
Thats true but
Here in Denver we have 860 btu gas. That can can really foul up boiler sizing if not taken into account.0 -
Tim McElwain had once advised:
"Use the half foot dial, and let it do two rotations and time it. Then divide those seconds into 3,600 (number of seconds in an hour) and multiply your answer times the BTU content of gas in your area probably around 1025 to 1050 BTU's per cubic foot.(in NY) That will give you what the unit is firing at in BTU's."0 -
