    Heat loss back room

I have a Family Room that is at the end of a split trunk to 3 duct forced hot air system. The ducts run thru a insulated crawl space and the ducts are wrapped with insulation. What can I do to get more heat from thos ducts. Is there an inline heater that can be placed in the main trunk for that room?

    Please advise
    Thank you

    don't care

For the inline fans. The can be noisy and mask the problem.

You need to get someone in to look at the ducting. Maybe up-sizing the duct, speeding up the fan, or even installing some manual dampers in the system to balance the air flow.

Whoever you call, make sure they know air flow and the fan laws.

I recently read a story about a company that was trying to fix a problem on a gas furnace by installing new parts. The owner finally got fed up and refused to pay any more and called another company out to look at the problem. The new company found the problem on the first trip. The gas meter was turned off. What I'm saying is that you have to look at the root of the problem, not what you see on the surface.

    Good luck.
