    Evil Keneival passed....

An icon for... I'm thinking "more of us than not" bit the dust for the final time today.

Evil Keneivel succumbed to life today...after chancing it so many times for the almighty dollar.

Anyone recall the "Snake River" attempt on a rocket powered motorcycle? RIP EK. Chris

    I just read that Chris

Certainly was an The Man for years. Snake river for sure. I loved the Caesars Palace jump myself. He used to look like he was just poping up there. The crash was wild to watch. Wide World of Sports should have used that for the agony of defeat.

I think he was HR's hero. I know he was mine for awhile.

HE was a big idol of mine when I was a kid. We spent quite a few summers in my neighbors driveway with a cement block and a piece of plywood. Around the driveway and jump, over and over. Later it was mini bikes, then dirt bikes.

    I remember all of that

and that I had the "Evil Knievel Lunchbox" in gradeschool.

He was a hero of mine as a youth. I'm lucky to have all of my original front teeth after trying to emulate him.

    I hear ya Paul

Hard to believe I could father children (jury still out if that was a good idea) after some of the groin busting crashes on my bike.

    A friend....

still has one of the wind-up "wheelie cycles" with the man himself at the handlebars...still in the box!

He also has one for use and amusement...and I defy ANYONE who sees it to NOT want to play with it. (45 years old and STILL playing with toys....Peter Pan was right...I won't grow up!)

Had the lunch box, the SST rip-off(remember the t-handle cogged belt ?)of the wind up wheelie cycle and a couple of various other Evil toys.

You're right Paul, how DID we survive? Chris

    Milne

Scott Milne will be very distressed the day when he hears of Donny Osmond's passing. After all, Scott was a lil'bit country,....okay, and a lil'bit rock-n-roll.

  • Here`s another,

I`m sure most of us tried the "Evel Knievel thing" when we were younger,,driveways , backyards or whatever. Thank God we never tried this deadly failure , this guy died in his attempt!
Check the guy who runs-out to turn-off that roaring lion.
Or this guy, what were they if anybody thinking?
A person only falls like this once, and you`re dead along time!

Kinda like the bungee jumping craze.

    Dave
  • Not to worry, Paul

Scott's hero is alive and still fairly limber- he appears in this video:
