is the Viega fostapex..
and the uponor MLC/multi core pex interchangable..looks like the rings an tools work work either way...I know warrantee wise there are issues but I have used vangaurd fittings on aquapex before and there are no problems....just thinking out loud...kpc

Very different, Fosta is essentially a standard SDR9 pipe once the outer layer is shaved off. Some use viega press sleves with other brands of SDR9 pipe. Multi core is different : Different tools, sleeves, O-rings, metric diameters, Biggest difference is that the sleeve compresses over all of the layers as opposed to fosta where this outer layer is shaved off.
What gave you the idea you could interchange these anyway?0 -

looked very same from the catalog. I guess I be buying the 1" tool from viega...that's why I asked here 1st...kpc
