Piping CI Rad.

I am having an ornate CI. Rad sandblasted and refinished for our kitchen.
A couple of conserns:We have a nice wood floor, would like to pipe the supply/return in to the intieor wall behind rad. and then down into the basement. I plan on using 3/4" iron pipe , untill I get to the copper in the basement, and paint the pipe to match the rad. We don't have any Bright brass or chrome in kitchen. Is my only option to use a iron union and paint to match or do they make something nicer, like the nickle plated connectors that I took off the rad. (1- 1 1/4")
And TRV's, I am only finding them in Chrome or Bright Brass, what else is out there.
I want a clean looking install, suggestions.

Don't bother, I have found my answers, a trip to the local supply house took good care of me.
