    Great day !

I got the chance to sit in on the full day class with Charlie Smith at Buderus today...and learn about the new G125BE boiler/burner combination today.

Let's just say...this ain't no BlueRay. This has been thought through, and has been in use for a goodly number of years in the Fatherland...with a good track record.

The concept is interesting...and the set-up is quite a bit different than you would imagine. Playing with the test models in the lab led to some pretty wild discoveries.

They have a boiler in the lab, with some "portholes/view ports" right in the side of the water jacket, so you can see the tube and fire...and what's happening while it is burning.

Pretty interesting concept all in all.

I also finally got to meet Joe K., and he's as nice in person...as he is on line here. Chris

I'm jealous! I'm just too busy to get up there right now but I'm dying to see one in the "flesh" I met Joe K. at Hershey last year and agree completely.

    I agree 100%

I sold Buderus for several years and you come away with two things: They make an outstanding product that's second to none. The people at Buderus such as Steve, Rich, Joe, Dave and on and on are the best there is at making sure you receive the quality of service and training you have every right to expect.

JCA, did they take you to the Common Man Restaurant? Gilbert Gottfried, errr, ah, Mark Hunt is a legend there...

I think its closed after the de-lousing and eradication that went on, the interior started to de-laminate.

They just could'nt get the filth and stink out.

Buderus trouble firing in cold/windy weather

Hi, new to this site and I am just curious if it is "normal" for a boiler to take a few tries to fire up on a cold/windy night in New England. Our model is only 2 years old and recently we had to have the circulator pump replaced but we have not had issues with it firing up. Thermostat is on a timer and at 3:30 am last night, which was extremely cold and windy, I heard it trying to fire up 3-4 times before it caught. It had not trouble after that but just wondering if a downdraft from chimney perhaps can effect the striker?

    Thanks so much.
