Anyone having problems with cleencut pumps?

Didnt have a vac gauge but I used an electronic sight glass and there was no bubbles. Lift was 8' tank like 25' away 3/8 tube. I changed the pump and solenoid and all the problems went away. This b2007 was intalled 1 1/2 years ago so maybe it was a recalled fuel unit? I ohm tested coil looked good? who knows.

Anyone having problems with cleencut pumps?

I have a 1 1/2 year old afg burner with the cleancut pump on it its on a 2 pipe system with the bypass plug installed. The problem im having is after the 15 second valve on delay there is a loud whining noise. I just took apart the pump new strainer nozzle filter cleaned and blew out all lines. I noticed there was some nozzle drip so I was thinking air but I cannot find any leaks. I unplugged the solenoid while it was running and the noise stopped. Once the solenoid is energized the sound and noise comes back this is also causing pulsations. Any ideas im thinking pump? I checked draft air is fine

    New one for Me

Before it cost you ,check the vacuum on the oil supply.... Another note... After you back flushed the lines did you run it through a once cleaned filter ,strainer and new nozzle ?

There was a recall, of sorts, on the coils.

I had one that lasted 2 weeks. It would fire, warm up, cut out. Chased all the usual suspects until I tried the coil and it was done. Came off the shelf 14 months ago.

    Swap the coil and see.

Sounds like high vacuum, use a Sid Harvey or Westwood oilwatcher to see the bubbles or foam. Then install an oil deaerator if you find that the pump is not the problem.. Tha coil issue will not make the pump whine, it will just make it operate intermittently.

That was the problem with the delayed coils..
Yes that was the only problem I know of.

important questions to answer in diagnosing oil problems are,What's the vacuum? And what's the pressure? Until you can answer those you're wasting your time
