Looks like a nice flame rolled out of that one a couple of times. By the time you replace everything that is wrong clean the sections and flush the dirty water out the customer could get a new boiler for a few hundred more.
I would like to try the Burnham megasteam i think they are coming in gas soon if not mistaken.

is definately a prob, but I wouldn`t rip-it because of this.

I agree

find out why the rollout happened. You might have a partly blocked flue or a lack of combustion air. A new boiler won't cure that.

BTW, as far as I know there is no official word on when the Mega-Steam will be available from the factory with a gas burner. For now, I'd use the Smith G-8.
