something is not right. I would not add stuff I would
find out what is wrong and get it back to spec or replace it.

I have an old boiler that has been flashing out. I noticed that the pilot is lighting the right burner then the flame jumps to burner 2 then to burner 3. By this time if flashes out. My question is: I want to make a tube that will have little holes drilled in it with the flames all along the tube that will lay accross all three burners. I think this might help lighting it up faster. I plan on using steel brake line. Any suggestion or comments?

I would not suggest
doing anything to modify the burner lighting procedure. It sound like the burners need to be pulled and cleaned and this should be done by a professional. The Pro will also be able to find anything else which might cause this to happen.0 -
The entire system was taken apart and cleaned this fall and I know the burners are clean - no rust, dust, scale or anything.0
