Ticking noise in radiator or pipe or valve

I have a one-pipe steam system in a two story single family house. In my bedroom on the second floor both radiators make ticking sounds when the heat is getting to its maximum. The ticking sounds seems to be coming from either the lower right of the radiator or the pipe that's going into the radiator. Could you please give me any advise of what I can do.

That's
the metal in the pipes and radiators expanding. It's normal.
You might try some kind of silicone or teflon under the radiator's feet, so they will slide more easily over the floor.
