Thats for alarming the owner re low temps at the remote home.
He's looking to start his heating system remotely. I would Google this.
Looks fairly simple.
If there is no product out there, I would be very surprised.
Maybe a product for someone!

I have a customer that has 3 zones and wants to be able to call into his house to warm it up. SOG vacation house. he needs to be able to call in to get it warmed up before he gets there. Anyone know how to best solve this problem.
He is looking for convenience and to be inexpensive.

    Home Automation

I would check home automation products as there are many controls out there where you can check the status of lights, temperature, etc.through tcp/ip (Internet),you can also make changes on-line.

You are thinking of the ARGO AR500-3

temperature guard, this is the 500-1 temp guard plus with remote access to change the temp...

    Use Honeywell's VisionPro IAQ thermostat...

and the Telephone Access Module accessory. You can call from any touch-tone or cell phone and change temps, start & stop equipment etc, plus it will call out up to 4 numbers if there is an alarm condition. Available from any Honeywell distributor.
