No doubt you are correct. That was just my best guess. I will check out the mfg date tomorrow & put a call in to Laars if I can't find anything wrong...any other suggestions / opinions are appreciated!

I have a cust with a EDP 175 that has a new ignitor/sensor assy, and I replaced the thermostatic valve as well. Unit runs great, and never gives any error codes. Once a month or so, HO feels cold and unit says LO. I reset the computer and all is good. It runs & tests very well while I am there. I know if it fails to fire after 3 or 5 attempts this will happen, but it fires first time every time I am there...Any suggestions?

    How old is it ?

Look at the board and see what series it is.

I had 4 that did this and it was a board issue.

    Not quite

EDP's and EBP's weren't around in '97, IIRC. 1st one I did was in 2000. Problem boards were '01 & '02 installs for me. Could've been earlier models too.

Tim, if the combustion is right on (I'm sure you already checked) and your DC microamps flame signal is right, and steady, I would suspect the board, as well.

Cross contamination of the air supply is also a possibility.
