2-pipe air vent system

I took MY books (and camera) to share with the librarian. It's in a sleepy little village that had way more people 100 years ago than it does today. It had textile mills back then, that there is no sign of today except the little river that runs through town.

The library was an 1875 little red schoolhouse; Victorian. The steam system went in then, as far as I can tell, and is still mostly original. I think I would have piped the boiler a little different, but I respect that they left the system pretty much as it was.

Here's to the dead men that built this system. Cheers!

Thanks for posting thme pics ,gotta love those old old rads ,alittle unusual near boiler piping but with such high risers that water would have to do what i call the leap of faith thanks again for posting peace and good luckc clammy
