Water use--Steam biler

I have had serious problems with my boiler(s) over the years. I posted a thread here some time ago and indicated that my system had been using a lot of water and as a result, I'd replaced boilers over very short periods of time---averaging 10 years!!
I just got a new (another!!) new boiler installed and I replaced many of the vents in an attempt to make sure there is very little water loss. My system is set to automatically fill the boiler at certain points--the "filling" is set at 5 gallons. It appears that I may have used 3-4 gallons ovewr the course of the past two weeks. It hasn't been all that cold during this period---several days (nights) below freezing. First, is it too soon to determine if the new boiler is using excessive amounts of water? If not, is what I have used so far alot of water?

Buried returns
Are any of the returns buried in the floor that return the water back to the boiler. If so, they might be leaking underground where you can not see the leak. To test this, fill to water line, turn off power to auto feeder, leave boiler off and check water level later. If level drops, you got an underground leak!!0 -
No buried lines that I can see nor imagine. Does this seem like a lot of water use?

Yes it does
you definitely have a leak somewhere. Try pressurizing the system somehow to find it.

Lordy, now what? My installer is stumped! How might my system be pressurized to see where the leak might be?
