tekmar with zone valves

The Tekmar 261 is a 2 stage boiler control and not a pump or zone control. The pump it controls is the system pump not zone pumps. That said it would be compatible with either VZ's or pumps, but you would need controls specific to the type of system you have.

tekmar 261 with zone valves
will the tekmar 261 work with zone valves instead of zone pumps? application manual only shows pumps.
thank you0 -
thanks rich. it's for a home which was formerly a duplex apartment. there's two boilers (both oversized) supplying seperate diverter tee systems. i've repiped the boilers so either one can supply both loops and installed zone valves to isolate. i will install the 261 to basicly rotate operation using the end switch on the zone valve to provide boiler demand to the tekmar. does this sound o.k.?

Yes
Yes Tucker, sounds like that should work just fine. With the 261 you'll get individual control and if you should ever need it, could bring on both boilers if demand required.
Good luck, Rich L0
