The right temp/TD for snowmelt?

What would you consider the right supply or return temp or TD on a snow melt system. Or maybe a max temp. This will be an off and on system, so should I put a cutout on the system or not. At this time I'm getting a great TD on the heat x and I'm please that the boiler is modulating down fro the present set point. This is my second one the first was a frigin' disaster. Thanks for your replies. Best Regards,

We're getting some really cold days...
Winter is around the corner.
Shoot the surface of the melt-medium with a "heat-gun" and see what the surface temps are at a practical (cloudy, cold day - or before the sun rises to fake out your reading(s)) and see what it is now with the system operating for a few hours to assure consistent ouput, and extrapolate the surface temps to the what if's of even colder OD temps.
Not absolute, but awful damn close! E.g., if its 30F outside and the water temp. is 110, you can be pretty sure a near one to one linear result will be present - as you tweak the system to get where you want or need, and the dT, about what the system will deliver when real-life duty is expected.
Remember, we want to melt snow, not make our feet warm.
As with all systems, the "fundamental" method is to get or exceed a 20 degree dT MINIMALLY! Assuming a condensing boiler is involved, the more the dT the greater the efficiency - provided ALL THE SNOW GETS MELTED @ the greater than 20F dt desired.
