Thanks for responding Ken. We do have a coil in our boiler, so hopefully thinigs will go smoothly. If you were in the Portland, Maine area I'd hire you! Thanks again.--Todd

We've recently poured a 350 sq.ft. slab with Pex tubing for radiant heat. The question is whether to use a separate hot water heater or connect to 7 year old Peerless Steam system? If we connect to the steam system, is this common practice and what should we look for when hiring this out? Thanks for any info.--EarthTone0 -
Does that Peerless have a coil?
If so, piece of cake!
The coil can be simply piped to become the source of radiant zone hot water - somewhat independent of the steam system.
We do it all the time. Simple, straight forward and inexpensive to do. You already did the hard part (;-o)
