Oil Boiler and Wood boiler hook up

piping are best. Search the archives at www.pmmag.com.

If you can find April 1999 Siggy has an article "Mixing Wood and Water" or www.pmengineer "Multiple Boiler Systems" Sept 2002.

It's really not much different than mixing any two boilers, you don't want to flow through an unfired boiler (either one) and you need to watch and protect against low return temperatures to the boilers. Unless the gas fired one is a mod con boiler of course.

Wood fired boilers like to run hot to burn efficiently and keep the flue pipe dry and creasote free. Sometimes a buffer tank is helpful if you have low or multiple small loads calling.
