opened the ZV, it ain't a 'stat problem.
In all lilihood, the end swith within the ZV is toast, or the device that drives the valve never makes the entire trip.
What brand ZV? Taco? Honeywell? Sumpin' else?

I replaced the hot water coil in my furnace (oil fire hot water, new yorker). There are 3 zones, one basement level and two on main level. The basement zone works good. On the main level the kitchen - living room zone works good. The bedrooms- bath room zone on main level - no heat. Drained the zone believing air locked. The thermostat will open the zone valve and furnace does not turn on.Is the trouble in the zone valve or thermostat?0 -
Zone valve is, Erie Motor control model 465B307-GA1, 01/27/92. Original when furnace was installed summer of 1992.0
