what causes the loud rumble upon startup of a bosch 250sx water heater. I have proper gas pressure and have checked the intake and exhaust venting. I checked the co levels and they were as specified by bosch. It happens every time the heater starts.

I have an Omega OME620, and it does the same thing. Super loud on startup, rattles the wall for a minute, then usually quiets depending upon flow. Mfg. says a few percent of his units do this, but doesn't effect performance - i.e., I'm SOL. I will probably pull it apart and add vibration dampers and support brackets in the unit. The thing works well other than the DEAFENING NOISE, and the usual tankless considerations - extra 15 seconds, cold water sandwich, etc.0
