Boiler Auction to help the Tomberlain Family

I am posting this for a group of people who care and want to help a mother and two young children who have had their husband/father taken away from them. Some of you may or may not know about Carl Tomberlain and his surviving family. Carl worked for PETRO as a Service Tech and was shot and killed while responding to a no-heat service call recently in Philadelphia. We would like to raise some money to benefit Carl's wife and two daughters in a time of great need.

This auction idea started when Larry Steingard, President and Yale Steingard, Vice President of Crown Boiler donated a boiler to help a local family connected to our industry that had just faced a terrible tragedy. Larry and Yale are joined by a few local vendors who donated boiler accessories to make up a great boiler package.

The equipment listed below has all been donated and will be auctioned off as a complete package. ALL of the winning bid money will be donated to "The Carl Tomberlain Benefit Account". The starting bid was 750 dollars and the auction will end on 12/7.

The Carl Tomberlain Benefit Auction is now officially over!

I want to thank Larry and Yale Steingard of the Crown Boiler Company for launching the idea of an auction when they offered to donate a boiler. Thanks to all of the Manufacturers and Rep Organizations that made equipment donations so that we could have a complete boiler package to auction off.

The Auction would not have been the success it was without the support of Judy Garber at NAOHSM, Alan Mercurio with “Oil Tech Talk”, Dan Holohan with Heating Help.Com and Wally Nowicke & Steve Wieland at Avco Supply.
