Capped risers

I could put a connector across the two pipes and circ would push air out I suppose. I also recall there are at least two other sets of pipe in walls that I can't get to. Should I cut them in basement and cap there? The gravity did not seem to mind these leftovers, but the new system might?

capped risers
converting gravity HW to closed system & there are capped pipes in attic where rad removed long ago. Now will have air in them-will this be problem? Should I put vent valves on them?0 -
Capped lines
I would. It might be the easiest way to vent the whole system, depending on the piping.
Some installers would take the end runs and pipe them all the way back to the boiler room so you could vent the system without having to leave the mechanical area. Saves getting the carpets dirty.0 -
The circulator
will not push the air out if you connect them.......guaranteed. You've got to vent them.
I'd leave the other capped risers alone.0
