I have had more than a few honeywell Magic Stats, Vision Pro's and even a 2 stage programmable on a gas forced air furnace. The sensors in them were all accurate but they are mounted directly on the wall and pick up cold radiation from around the room. Make sure its not stuck in a corner, is up well off the floor, and not mounted on an outside wall. To test it, remove it from the wall and place the two thermometers next to each other. If they are off by more than a degree or so, something is wrong with one of them.

    thermostat

I have a honeywell digital thermostat. I set it for about 65. I have another temp gauge in my house in the same room that usaully reeds about 70. Is that normal to happen. It only happens when temp outside goes below 25.

    Thanks

Thank you for the info. The wall that it is on is an inside wall but sometimes when it is real cold The wall does get a bit cold. It is kind if of on an inside corner. That may be the problem not sure.
