Grundfos Comfort System recirc. Anyone use it ?

the single-piece circulator, timer and temperature switch with the up-turned tail (sort of like a shy scorpion with a vial of Viagra in the check-out line at Rite-Aid)?
If so, yes, I have one and put one in my sister's house.
Mine seized for some reason and I will take it apart but when it worked it worked well.

has anyone
used this system ?
I am a fan of Grundfos and hope this works well but I have a customer who bought a new home and Did'nt get Re-circ.
I am thinking this would be a good solution.

it works
Hi Scott, I've installed that system before with good luck. The only problem, the cold water line is now warm! Not too much of an issue unless someone's getting a drink from that faucet furthest away from the water heater. If the customer knows this going into it they can decide if that's a fair trade off. I also like the timer on the circ pump, No sense running it 24/7. It can be set up to their usage patterns.0 -
Good stuff!
Scott.,I've installed 5 of these systems. They work very well. The only caveat is that sometimes you must install more diverter units than are supplied, to get recirc to all fixtures. On one home, we had to install 4 diverters to make it all work., Still, the home didn't have to be ripped apart to run a separate recirc line. Make sure you know what the diverters and extra lav supplies cost, so you can make the add-ons, if required.

Yes Rich
No Brad.
I am talking about the system that Rich is talking about and a supplier put one in his house and took it out because of the warm water issiue.
I will offer both with the caveat that the "system" warms the cold water.
