gas heating unit wont stay on for more than 10 seconds

to service the unit. Before doing so make sure the gas is on and that gas is getting to the unit. This is typical behavior on this unit as there is probably some limit that has opened due to over temperature or flame roll out. What you know is that the 120 volts is good to the unit as is the 24 volts otherwise the blower would not be running.

    gas heater on roof

    woke up this morning and house was 62 deg. therm set at 70. The blower is comeing on every 5 min for about 10 second but wont stay on . I have central air and heat, Gas based, on roof. Where do I begin to trouble shoot.

    Are there filters in the unit? If they are plugged it will go off on high limit. Just a thought without knowing the type of unit.
