new steam heat/radiator problem

Meg,

Sorry to say but it sounds like your new boiler was not installed improperly! A properly installed steam systems should not be heard!

    new steam radiator problem

we just installed a new boiler, we have steam heat/old cast iron radiators. Since installation, horrendous banging/clanking when heat is first running. Today one of the radiators started leaking water at the valve. My husband took it off, a flood of water came pouring out. He cant figure out how it got in there and what to do about it. the contractor that put it in is away for the weekend. Now since the flood of water we no longer have the horrendous banging.

Can you post some pictures of the new piping near the boiler?

If you dont get satisfaction from the installer I would recommend the find a professional locator in the resources section

There was an error rendering this rich post.
