TURBOmax. Great product. Fantastic performance. Too new to rate as it pertains to life expectancies...

    ERGOMAX

The ergomax lit that i've seen shows them as an interesting concept, sort of a reverse indirect. The tank is full of boiler water and the domestic goes up thru it in multiple coils. according to a rep I know there real slick, but everything he reps is supposed to be real slick. They would work great as a buffer for a mod-con.

    I got One

Lifetime warranty on the tank when I bought it. Tank started leaking at about 9 years, they gave me a new one. Thermostat went bad after 3 years. I paid for that. Got 'er hitched up to a Teledyne Laars, never run out of hot water, not matter what I do, fill the hot tub, power washer, whatever....

Hey Mike how many BTu's is your boiler that is feeding the ergomax??
I was wondering if a 100k btu boiler can keep up with the 1st hour ratings?

    I have one, an E44

It is hooked in series in the primary loop to add boiler content as well as produce DHW. Two Biasi 80,000 net boilers. If I were to do this again, I would buy a reverse indirect but NOT Ergomax. I am not impressed with their assembly quality as mine has a tank rusting from the outside in under the aquastat well.

    one thing to watch

hard water, and low DHW flow rates. I had one plug up the header plate where all those coils come together, from hard water deposits.

I installed it as mainly a buffer tank for a waste oil boiler. it supplied hot water to a few hand sinks.

I found the workmanship and very minimal insulation a bit disappointing. This was a few years back, perhaps they have made some upgrades.

With enough horsepower they perform very well.

    Thanks

to all-I think I've narrowed it to WM, Triangle tube makes theirs, or the Superstor. Hope these work ok with Knight.

Lochinvar offers a nice indirect tank, also

it may in fact be the same tank Crown offered as the MegaStor for years. A solid performer with an excellent following.

And it matches the Knight's jacket colors!

    Safety

is concern too. Do codes require HEx in upgraded systems? I mean to separate the potable from horrible by more than one layer of metal.
