need to know wiring to wired new vent damper motor to exsiting burnham boiler with l8148e aquastat honeywell with a molex plug for vent damper have a replacement vent damper i have fields control vent damper does anyone know the wiring code what colors should be hook to what , email thank you mike

I would find it quite rare that a 203 Burnham Gas boiler is equipped with an L8148E Aquastat. It may very well be that somewhere in the life of the boiler it may have been retrofitted with the control. Our Series 2 boilers were normally equipped with a sub-harness that the vent damper cord would plug directly into.

Regardless of that, if the Field vent damper you have and want to use is a new one, it should have come with a harness with a six pin plug that should plug directly into the L8148E if you do not have the subharness aleady on the boiler to plug into. Word of warning though. All gas boilers equipped with a vent damper should also be equipped with a Blocked Vent Switch (cliped to bottom of draft hood) and Flame Rollout Switch (mounted on burner access panel). These are necessary as redundant safety controls in the event of a flue blockage or damper not opening correctly or a blockage in the boiler's flue passageways. Hope this helps.
