Sediment Filter

Aqua-pure, Big Blue, Campbell and others. Make sure whatever you get can take a standard cartridge. We use the 4-1/2x10-inch cartridge size for whole-house sediment use (I have one of these in my own house), and the smaller 2-1/2x10 size for taste/odor for the kitchen sink, etc. For real big houses or similar heavy usage, you can get a housing for a 20x4-1/2 cartridge.

    Sediment Filter

    Hi All,
Thank you all for your great support. I had a terrible problem with rust in the hot water until the boiler/indirect DHW replacement. Maybe I'm being too cautious but I'm considering adding a sediment filter just after the water meter to strain out any junk from the municipal water supply. I'm concerned that the indirect (Super Stor Ultra) heat exchanger will get fouled over time. Can anyone recommend a filter that won't reduce water flow too much. I think something that will strain out sand, silt, and rust particles would be OK. Thanks, Roland
