    laws?

I downsized my plumbing dept; I'm the only plumber in my mostly heating company now. I'm too busy to do plumbing, yet, we still need to do jobs here and there.

What are the laws regarding me hiring a "sub contractor"? i know it's done, I just don't know the actual rules. can a sub wear my shirts and drive my van? I'm guessing no, but thought I'd ask.

    Thanks

    Gary

    It's done

all the time, Gary. If you partner with a reputable individual or firm they should even help in pricing any plumbing portions of your projects.

We are a faily large plumbing contractor (over 50 plumbers) and as an example we sub out the insulation, installation of toilet accessories when Brad's firm calls for the plumber to do them (we wish they wouldn't but it's that inside the 128 belt thing) and other aspects of a project.

    Good luck,

    Jack
  • Gary talk to your

lawyer about were your liability ceases and the sub takes over. My son owns a constuction company in Mass and there are some special rules Mass has on Subs and how they are handled.
