Call a few plumbing wholesalers or supply houses and ask about hydronic parts. They will point you to the hydronics suppliers. As for the crimps, the copper rings slip over the pex and crimp it tight to the copper or brass barb. You will need to convert (sweat) from copper to pex with a brass fitting ( copper by pex barb )

    pex install

    hi all..

I recently purchased a house with no heating system and want to install a new boiler and piping. I've chosen to run pex to baseboard and have chosen 3/4" Fostapex (Pex-Al-Pex if they are the same) as my piping. I'll be dropping copper down and attaching the pex below floor. Just some questions before I commit.. (edit: I've committed.. 3/4 PAP is on it's way!)
I understand I'll need two tools for this operation. one to strip and one to press?? question: How does the crimper crimp the pex onto the connector? Does it crimp the copper also? sorry really confusing after 20 hours of research.. Also, I can't for the life of me find a distributor/supplier in my area (N Pa or W NY) for this stuff (edit bought on ebay) I'd like to talk to a rep so wouldn't have to be on here bugging all you people! :)

EDIT: can anybody point me to an online video of this type of plumbing?

    Tx Tim!
