draining boiler
You didn't say what you have for a LWCO and it's not how often you blow it down but when and how that is more important. I always recommend once a month and do it while the boiler is making steam. make sure the discharge is properly piped to prevent injury and blow it down while the boiler is running. Run it till its clear and the burner stops. This will let steam into the body of the lwco and clean it well. Avoid doing this too often as adding too much water will eventually hurt the boiler.
