Replacing Baseboard covers without removing pipes

It takes a little finesse but it's not too bad to change just the sheetmetal backing, brackets and covers for copper fintube radiation. I've done it many times. Patience grasshopper.

Can I replace slantfin baseboard covers without removing pipes

I would like to replace the finned baseboard covers, without removing the pipes. What would be the best way.
    Thanks

Do you want to replace the fins? Or the sheet metal housings?

    Overboards

    There are always Overboards.

Edit: I've never used them, but I just looked at the price and talk about sticker shock!

Ok, thanks It didn't look like there was any easy way. I see about the finese part. Those overboards forget it, sticker shock is right.

    Take a good look

before you start if they decided to use nails to hang the base boards and they are behind the fin tube it may make for some aggravation but can be done.

    Worth the headache

I installed the slant fin baseboard last year in my house 1 screw every 16" and without a doubt, would disconnect piping before taking covers off. Strictly my opinion but two solder joints don't take long.

    we always used nails

Matter of fact, I still have the old Slant Fin nail setting tool in my collection somewhere. Patience, Grasshopper!
