It really depends on what type of 2-pipe steam you have...do you have traps on the rads? Some types want vents, and some do not...

venting
Hello;
I'm going to add an upright radiator.
The feed and return pipes are already there as is the radiator to be used which is going back into service in the sane exact location.
The question is do i need to add a vent can on the feed line.
There are a few vent cans on the system imediately out of the boiler.I'm hopeing not to complicate the pipe fitting stage with a vent can if it is [redundant] thank you.
