Hello all. I have a one pipe steam boiler. I know I have to reinsulate the steam mains but should I also insulate the dry/wet returns as well? Also what would cause water/vapor to trickle down from the top of the sight glass only within the first 5 minutes of when the boiler fires up? Thank you for any info.

you can insulate...
if you really want to keep the condensate warm. I personally don't think it is tat big a deal (others may disagree) If you have vapor at the top of your gauge glass it could very well be that you have oil in the boiler water. Have you hade work done on the system lately? kpc
